  • The Good: Plenty of time to hatch brilliant ideas.
  • The Bad: Brilliant ideas do not help you fall asleep.
  • The Ugly: In the morning, you’re too tired to implement anything.

I have insomnia ll the time, and I must agree it is a good time to come up with brilliant ideas.. I have forgotten so many good ones over the years. Recently I started writing them down and found that it helps me get to sleep – gets it off my mind. The added bonus id that I have a record and can remember those ideas in the morning!

The old wive’s tale of drinking a cup of warm milk really does help, but who likes warm milk? I take an antihistimine pill (the kind that makes you drowsy) and drink a cup of caffeine free hot coooa and then settle into a comfortable chair and read a good book. If I don’t fall asleep, well at least I’ve read a book!

Insomnia is a horrible thing that happens to so many people world wide and is attributed to many factors, too many to list here at this time. But for me the only thing that works is hard core prescription sleeping pills and they always make me feel groggy in the a.m. that always comes to soon. Best Wishes Cheryl Beckham

Insomnia has made my life a living hell until I finally got my doctor to prescribe Restoril, which is in the Valium family and a narcotic, which most doctors these days try to stay away from prescribing, but this is working, and I’m glad that I kept after doctor until we found something that works. Insomnia gets old real quick. Respectfully, Allison English

I have a rather unusual form of Insomnia that more or less rotates around the clock from week to week, deciding when to let me sleep, I get brilliant ideas but I’m also to annoyed to do anything with them.

I know how hard it is for people not getting their good night sleep as well. My husband has the worst case of Insomnia I have ever seen, or heard of. He is a brilliant man, and that is probably a good explanation why he has so many idea’s and plans that of a sudden come up out of the blue as soon as I wake up. Best Wishes…Natalie Coleman
